Gideon Greenspan - Interests

I strive to create software and websites which are simple to use, but contain complex technology behind the scenes. This is a magical combination for delighting end users.

I particularly look for opportunities to use machine learning methods in web applications. When dealing with lots of messy data, techniques such as clustering and classification can provide a decisive improvement in user experience.

These days I'm focused on new ideas with a social dimension. It looks like the coming years will be characterized by four interrelated problems - oil depletion, climate change, water shortage and food inflation. I'm interested in ways the Internet can be used to help meet these challenges, starting with Carbon Catalog.
